What do you get when you mix two superstar antioxidants?
Your skin’s new BFF—our VITAMIN C + E SERUM.
Together, these powerful vitamins reduce hyperpigmentation and dark spots, support collagen production, prevent premature aging and reduce inflammation.
Plus, we’ve added hyaluronic acid for a sip of some serious moisture. This potent serum leaves your skin looking brighter than the future.
Here’s the scoop.
1. NOT ALL C IS CREATED EQUAL
Putting vitamin C in skincare is a no-brainer, but figuring out the most effective delivery method is a whole other story.
Our VITAMIN C + E SERUM is made using L-ascorbic acid, the purest form of vitamin C. It is the only form of vitamin C that your skin doesn’t have to convert once it’s on your face.
Less work for your skin means better results. It’s also water-soluble, which means it will penetrate into your skin faster and reach deeper layers.
You only need one or two drops—that’s some serious instant gratification.
2. TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
Vitamin C may be center stage, but this serum’s strength comes from the way its ingredients work together. Like Carrie and Miranda, vitamin C and E stabilize each other.
In other words, they are faster-acting and more powerful together than either ingredient is on its own. Vitamin E helps combat sun damage, diminishes the appearance of scars, and prevents wrinkles over time.
As if all this anti-aging action wasn’t enough, we added hyaluronic acid to our serum to provide a super dose of moisture. No one will ever call you thirsty again.
3. DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK
Vitamin C serum starts out clear, but darkens over time, becoming yellow-brown.
Don’t freak— it’s a myth that the serum is no longer effective once this happens.
The change in color is due to the natural process of oxidation (aka the product hanging out with oxygen). It’s a totally normal process, and something you should expect to notice in your bottle.
Oxidation doesn’t have an impact on the efficacy of vitamin C inside as long as you use it within 12 months of opening the bottle for the first time and you don't expose it to sunlight.
Your serum is still providing a lot of power for your skin—especially with the stabilizing effects of vitamin E there to give it a boost. To extend the life of your serum, store it in a cool, dark place to slow down the natural process of oxidation.
4. HANDLE WITH CARE
Vitamin C is a badass when it fights for your skin but the product itself needs a little TLC.
UV rays are trash for your skincare, so even though our VITAMIN C + E SERUM is packaged in an opaque bottle, it should not be left in direct sunlight. In addition to light, vitamin C cannot take the heat.
If you’re looking to add a little more chill to your life, a perfect place for our serum is the fridge. The cooling effect of the refrigerated serum is also totally clutch for that post-hangover puffy face.
